Most of the stuff I like came out some time in the 80's, mainly on the smaller labels. That doesn't mean I don't like any earlier or later stuff, but most people who hear my songs say something like: "Hey that sounds like The Smiths" or "That sounds like the Cure" so I guess that's just sort of where I'm coming from.
